Petyr - Petyr (2017)

Heavy psych/stoner jam. You can hear Sabbathian worship, Sleep, Earthless and Flower Travelling Band kind of stuff in this. No run-of-the-mill mediocrity. One of my favourite 2017 records. Fronted by professional skater Riley Hawk; also son of Tony Hawk.

Bardo Pond - Untitled (2018)

Bardo Pond's 2018 tour CD is a just-over one hour warped mind altering acid rock jam/song. Lot of things happen here at a beautiful pace that it only feels like 30 minutes. Space ventures, flute magick, drug infused guitars and other shenanigans blending acoustic and electric instrumentation.

Bardo Pond is one of the best bands ever. Buy their things.

Blown Out - Superior Venus (2017)

The latest full length from psychedelic cosmonauts Blown Out. Album originally includes two gnarly 15-minute long gravity-free space psych tracks, but this upload includes two 'powerdrive demos' of the main tracks. Members include Mike Vest (the mighty Bong, Melting Hand, 11Paranoias, and a bunch of other projects), Matthew Baty and Jean-Michel Hedley (both from Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, and Khunt). Furthermore, Blown Out blows minds live, go see them if you get the chance to.

Bo Hansson - Music Inspired By The Lord of the Rings (1970)

A highly recommended true 70's psychedelic instrumental gem. As the title suggests, the music is inspired by Tolkien's LOTR. Bo claimed that he wanted to use a variety of instruments such as harp, string sections and other exotic sounds but his lack of finances resulted in him sticking to his keyboards, synths, guitar and bass, accompanied by guest artists' drums, saxophone and flute. Fortunately, it turned out the flawless and colourfully creative way it is. Jimi Hendrix even took out time from his tour to jam with Bo, and was rumored to have wanted to record music with him but unfortunately Jimi had to join the 27 club. Just listen to it.

The United States of America - The United States of America (1968)

Far-out ahead of its time psychedelic rock from 1968 (actually recorded in '67 and released in '68). If I had to compile experimental rock from the 60's, the United States of America would definitely be among. Unfortunately after this release, the band broke up due to conflicting directions the band members wanted to take. After the break-up, Joe Byrd went on to form the also incredible Joe Byrd and the Field Hippies. An absolute gem for classic rock lurkers.

Interkosmos - Интеркосмос (2009)

Aka Hypnotizer. Spaced out, mellow, transcendental psychedelic rock with occasional hypnotic vocals. Far out trip material. Interkosmos is Dave Schmidt and Pablo Carneval, both of legendary Electric Moon, plus Sergio Ceballos. Among the best psychedelic music can offer.

Boris - Feedbacker (2003)

One of eclectics Boris' best outputs. Self-descriptive Feedbacker (aka Boris at Last) is a 42-minute journey divided into 5 parts. Beautifully flowed album with a lot to hear in. There's mandatory crushing drones and slow riffery, psychedelic-tinged doom, noise and occasional vocal and stoner work. Given the guitar tones of this album, this is some shit to get lost in.

Porcupine Tree - The Sky Moves Sideways (1995)

One of Porcupine Tree's best outputs. Epic spacey progressive rock with influences from Klaus Schultz, Pink Floyd and Tangerine Dream. The songs are amazing here. The Sky Moves Sideways is easily among the band's best tracks (both parts). Semi-melancholic feel is heard throughout. Dislocated Day's oppressive riffing introduces doom vibe, another highlight from the band's catalog. If I could upload a joint, I would. Highly recommended.
