Jóhann Jóhannsson - Mandy OST (2018)

Can't emphasize enough how stunning this future cult classic film is. The way the visuals, story, emotions, the soundtrack (!!) blend is out of this world. The fucking soundtrack enriches the whole experience so much. It's such a pity Jóhann Jóhannsson OD'd on a combination of cocaine and medication even before the film was even released (R.I.P.). This soundtrack also features contributions from Stephen O'Malley of Sunn O))) and Hildur Guðnadóttir, whose impressively growing portfolio most recently included Chernobyl's OST and the latest Sunn O))) album, Life Metal. If you haven't seen the film yet, I highly recommend watching it. Soon. And if you inject marijuanas, treat yourself with one while at it.

Toby Driver - Madonnawhore (2017)

A mastermind behind Kayo Dot, Maudlin of the Well, Asva and others, Toby Driver's Madonnawhore is a beautiful quiet journey of lush guitars and emotive vocals. Amazing album especially when it sinks in. Would highly recommend Toby Driver live as well.

Boards of Canada - The Campfire Headphase (2005)

The Campfire Headphase is the third full-length by Boards of Canada. This album makes use of lo-fi acoustics and reduces the focus on synthesization featured on previous records. Michael Sandison, one of the two members, says about the album "we were picturing this character losing his mind at the campfire and compressing weeks of events into a few hours, in that time-stretching way that acid fucks with your perception."

Healer - HigherGrounds (2004)

Pole - 3 (2000)

Stefan Betke aka Pole hails from Dusseldorf, Germany. His albums in general dabble in healthy balance of ambient dub techno with a minimal approach. Pole puts some extra focus on the dub element in this 2000 release. Some eerie vibes thrown in too. If you like glitch, bleeps and ticks in a dub/ambient context, or just looking for music to work/study/do shit to, give this a try.
